How to Play: Mine Monero, Earn Entries, Win the Daily Pot

XMR Jackpot turns mining into a daily draw. You point a Monero miner at the pool, every share you contribute counts toward your next entry (— shares buy one), and once a day one entry takes 90% of the pot. There is nothing to deposit and nothing to buy.

What you need to start

  • A computer that can run the miner — the bundle is on the download page.
  • No Monero wallet to start mining. You need one only to receive a prize.
  • No deposit, no entry fee, no purchase. Mining is the only way in.

Step 1 — Run the miner

Download the bundle, unzip it, and start the miner. It connects to the pool and begins submitting shares. There is no wallet address to enter before you start and no configuration file to edit.

Step 2 — Every — shares is one entry

The pool counts accepted shares, not hours online. For every — shares your miner submits, you receive one free entry in the drawing that is currently open. Entries stay with the round until it closes, so steady mining compounds: the longer you contribute, the more entries you hold when the draw runs.

Shares are credited as the pool accepts them, so a dashboard that trails your miner by a few submissions is normal. The total is unaffected.

Step 3 — The drawing runs every 24 hours

Each drawing closes 24 hours after the previous one. One entry is selected from the entries recorded for that round, and the winner takes 90% of the pot. The remaining 10% covers servers and development, and seeds the next pot when it runs short.

The pot carries over rather than resetting to nothing: an unclaimed prize returns to the pool and grows the next drawing.

Step 4 — Claim within seven days

If your entry is drawn, log in, connect a Monero wallet, and claim the prize. You have seven days. After that the prize returns to the pool for the next drawing, so connecting a wallet before you win is the safer order of operations.

How the draw stays verifiable

The pool commits to a seed before the drawing and reveals it afterwards; the seed is derived from Monero block hashes, so neither the operator nor a miner can pick a winner after seeing the entries. Each result can be checked at /api/verify/{id}, where the entry set, the seed and the selected entry are published together.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no deposit, no entry fee and no purchase of any kind. The only cost is the electricity your miner uses, which varies with your hardware and is not paid to the pool.

Questions people ask

Do I need a Monero wallet to mine?

No. Mining works immediately; a wallet is only needed to receive a prize.

Does the miner touch my wallet?

No. It sends hashpower to the pool and nothing else. It never asks for keys and cannot move funds.

What happens if I stop mining mid-round?

Entries you already earned for the open drawing stay counted. You stop earning new ones, but you can still win the round you are in.

Is this gambling?

No purchase is required and nothing is wagered — entries come from contributed hashpower, not from stakes. Read the payout rules for how prizes are split.
